Jesus, Lord and Savior

Many small children can quote John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

BUT WHAT DOES THAT REALLY MEAN?

JESUS LEFT HIS HOME IN HEAVEN AND WAS BORN OF A VIRGIN (Luke 2:26-35)

• Jesus became as a man and lived a perfect life on Earth (Philippians 2:5-11)
• He was crucified for our sins and died on the cross (Luke 23:33-46)
• Jesus was buried - laid in a tomb (Mark 15:46)
• The Son of God arose again, defeating death (Luke 24:1-7)
• With the Apostles and others watching, our Savior returned to Heaven (Acts 1:9-11)
